Grand Prix Cyrel

Grand Prix Cyrel is a contest initiated in 1982 by the company DuPont with the aim to promote innovative solutions in packaging printing.

The 7th contest finale took place on 24 March 2007 in Valencia with 1,700 Entries from 40 Countries around the World. The jury contained of experts from the printing industry and their chairman was Wolfgang Klos-Geiger, the co-owner of G&K TechMedia GmbH (publisher of, amongst others, the "Flexo+Tief-Druck" magazine). The entries were judged in the following categories: Best Conversion Offset or Gravure to Flexo, Carrier Bags, Sacks and Bags, Pre- print, Corrugated Board (B, C, A Flute), Corrugated Board (E, F Flute), Tag and Label, Best Match Proof to Print, Continuous Print, Flexible Packaging, Folding Carton. The 12th category was a special award. It turned out that we were one of the most honored pre-press companies and the only one from Poland.

We won the gold medal in the category “Best Conversion Offset or Gravure to Flexo” for the Cappuccino packaging.

We received a silver medal in the Corrugated Board (B, C, A Flute) category, for preparation of the „Dog in the Fog” motif.

We obtained also the 3rd price in the category “Best Conversion Offset or Gravure to Flexo” for the Pilsner Urquell packaging.

“It is a great distinction for us and proof that our graphic designers mastered the ins and out of flexographic prepress to perfection” – commented the unquestionable success the president of the board Joachim Siekiera.
